As the popularity of Yoga increases, more and more practitioners wish to explore and understand its deeper dimensions, beyond asana. There is a deep thirst for understanding its philosophical framework. However, very few Yoga traditions can provide the rich perspective which is needed to understand the context of classical Yoga practices holistically. This wisdom we can offer in the Viniyoga tradition.

Among the most important tools presented by Mahaṛṣi Patañjali is Aṣṭāṅgayoga, the eight limbs of Yoga. It is within this framework that the most popular modern tool of Yoga, Āsana, finds a place. However, it is certainly not the only tool of Yoga, nor should it be practised outside the framework presented. Understanding the context of the eight limbs is not only essential to be able to benefit from the entire range of Yoga practices, it will also enhance the experience and benefits of Āsana practice.

Each of the eight limbs of Yoga is essential and critical in supporting the others. As students and teachers of Yoga, we must engage in study to gain the understanding to practice Yoga with purity and clarity. This is why this online seminar is offered to help students understand Yoga holistically and in an authentic manner.

The seminar will be conducted through a series of eight online modules, each consisting of two sessions of approximately 50 minutes each. Through these modules, participants will learn invaluable teachings that will help them gain insight into the core teachings of Patañjali and take their practice to the next level.
