WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM VINIYOGA®?

Anyone who is capable of empowering themselves can benefit from Viniyoga, even if they have limited abilities or energy.  Suitable practices can be offered, as long as the practitioner is willing and able to practice.

Furthermore, Viniyoga can benefit a person in any stage of life.  By adapting practice to the person, Viniyoga accommodates different age groups and the varying levels of flexibility, agility, strength, stamina, balance and range of motion that inevitably are a part of aging. More importantly, Viniyoga can be adapted to the different goals and needs we have throughout life.  You are never too old and it is never too late to enjoy the benefits of Viniyoga practice. 

 There are limits, of course. Viniyoga cannot usually benefit a person that is unable to engage themselves in a self-empowering journey. Such situations include, for example, those in coma, suffering severe depression, or in a state of neurosis.

When an appropriate practice of Viniyoga is done on a regular basis, it can bring a host of benefits including:

  • Improved health and wellbeing,

  • Better concentration and focus

  • Enhanced energy and vitality

  • Improved sensitivity and receptivity

  • Balanced libido

  • Better quality of life

  • Positive habits and reduction of negative tendencies

  • Elevation of consciousness, to name but a few

However, Yoga practice done indiscreetly or in a wrong manner can hurt and even severely damage a person. This is why it is critical to practice appropriately under the guidance of a competent teacher. This is where Viniyoga offers a safe and intelligent approach to guide students in their Yogic journey.

Viniyoga does not discriminate based on gender, race, sexual orientation, body type, emotional state or any other parameters. While many traditions are restrictive in their approach to Yoga, Viniyoga is open to all and offers an approach that is universal, yet personal.
