The Mūlādhāra-cakra-mantra | oṁ laṁ bhūmyai namaḥ

The Mūlādhāra-cakra-mantra | oṁ laṁ bhūmyai namaḥ

The Yogin-s understood the human body differently from how we perceive it today. Apart from understanding it as a complex physiological structure, the Yogin-s also realized that we have an intricate subtle body. An important part of this subtle entity are the major energy centres known as Cakra-s, which are linked together through subtle channels called the Nāḍī-s. Each of these Cakra-s are associated with vital physiological and emotional functions. Hence the Yogin-s firmly believed that any imbalance in the Cakra-s could result in physiological and emotional illness and vice versa.

Thus they had a deep and profound understanding of the Cakra-s and also developed tools and methods to influence them when they were in a state of disharmony. In fact, this understanding of the subtle body was the main basis for evolving the multiple tools of Yoga.

For each modern Yoga practitioner, it is important to learn the way Yogin-s saw the human body through this understanding of the subtle anatomy and how Yoga’s tools can be utilized to influence the energy centres in the body. When the Cakra-s are properly understood and Yoga’s tools are appropriately administered, they become powerful allies in the path of health and the expansion of hidden potential.

When our Cakra-s are aligned and are in stable vibration, we are considered to be in sound health. However, when they are misaligned or out of sync with each other, then we are not in good health.

To balance and vitalize each energy centre, there were numerous tools suggested by the Yogin-s. Most powerful among them are Mantra-s (Sacred vibrations). Each Cakra had a Bīja-mantra (Seed-mantra) that would be utilised in Āsana, Prāṇāyama or Dhyānam to reach the energy centre and recalibrate it to harmonise it.

This online seminar consisting of 8 modules, will explore the most important Cakra-s in detail, presenting the core principles and frameworks within which they must be understood and practised. It will also explore the utilisation of the associated Bīja-mantra-s associated with the Cakra-s and engage them in practice, to facilitate a recalibration of our subtle vibrations.

Who should join this seminar?
